im realising that like no one is doing "in the skin of a lion" for this module which really sucks... cause i really really need info on this annoyingly fragmented text ... so if anyone happens to know stuff on the readings, themes etc please reply!! i have to do a presentation of the chapters, caravaggio and remorse on Monday so stuff on those chapters would be sweet .... thanks

Obviously don't have the books any more though, refresh me on exactly what happens in those chapters?
I found Ondaatje looked a lot at marginalised characters in ITSOAL - look at how they are represented. Oh, and the magic word, "METAPHOR". Elliptical structure - NOT round, NOT perfect.
Lyrical prose, but lack of clear distinctions. Lots and lots and lots of references to art.
Here's a big hint from Alice: "You reach people through metaphor" (not sure what chapter this is in)
