Musk aren't you planning to transfer to UNSW this year? I remember reading it in the transfers 07 thread. Why do you want to leave UTS?

CE at uts is looking brighter n brighter...esp if i can get my hands on that scholarship and to top it off its a clubbing uni...but i spose alot of other ppl wud say that about their unis lol

USYD is basically five minutes up the road from UTS walking. So everything that they have, USYD would had too.

But if I was trying for a scholarship I would apply everywhere (except UWS, ew...).

that is true, i need a 9-5 type of univeristy and i plan to do a double major (civil/mining) where i can still specialise in construction and do the mining as a bonus

due to the fact that construction faculty has classes that finish 75% of the time finish at 9pm

i had 3 9pm classes back to back and i couldnt handle that bs anymore

i got 2 9pm classes this semester and i got my planned internship in spring

btw when u do your internship, ur allowed to do subjects as well if my transfer doesn't go tho i will be doing 2 subjects so i can get my degree quicker

What universities have you been to so far? I remember reading a thread on FEAS when I was applying for it and you tried for it already (you are quite a prolific poster in the engo forums)... so have you already been to UNSW?

What is your bias against USyd?

i meant everywhere but uws, i would have had to be desperate to do that...
so u think that there wouldnt be much difference between unsw and uts in terms of CE?

1. the structure of the degeee programs (which has been used by all unis and now scraped) has several admin problems and the subject contents are out of touch of the changing industry even unsw the worlds most stubborn uni changed their programs because the industry was having a bitch about it

How so are they out of touch? (I'm actually interested).

2. the subjects you do are old in relation to the content being teached for an example soil behavour and geo technical subjects where all univerities cover but for usyd and the only way you can do these is by specialising which is pretty silly and also having 3cp/uoc subjects is very painful to do and hence causes more problems in ur timetabling if u failed a subject

Are you sure soil behaviour and geo-technical subjects are through specialisation only? Just looking here shows that soil mechanics and other geo-subjects are open electives in second/third/fourth year? Or am I wrong?

3. you cant switch subjects around since they are mostly offered once a yr unlike uts,unsw & uow
