heya all
what did u think of the paper??

i thought it sucked arse right from the first question...... but it goes to show that im srewed

but hey, they say that the catholic trials are the worst, especially harder than the hsc itself

Man I'm with you 100%.... that test was the first test EVER that I have not finished with at least 20mins left..... I'm was hoping to do really well in them but now I'm hoping for a pass!

did you guys get this really weird maths induction question at the end?
the first part is something like f(x)>0 and f(a+b)=f(a)*f(b)

yea i usually can get most of them done fine - like have no probs - but in this one i only had like 3 questions where i was fine for. all the other ones i had to spend time on - which doesnt help the overall result

yeah chanfky I think that's the CSSA one... that induction question was one of those questions that was so weird that I ended up not doing it....

my teacher gave us some replacement questions cause we havent done the 3u app. of cal. in p.w. yet (thats all we have to go then we have finished both courses). but yea i didnt see any induction questions except for the replacement ones that we got.

didnt finish and some little parts were very tricky
did everyone have the inequality induction? I couldnt get it out

I was hoping for 90s.., but now i'll be happy IF i get over 80

prove that c^2=b^2-2ab

all u do is put the sides in ratio. You've been given the info that the triangles r similar. So all u do is put the sides into ratio, u get 2 small equations and then thats it.

The but after that, uno that its an isos triangle, so u lets thingo = sumfin. And thats part2.

henry did everything xcept 7i
for the similar triangle ques, he used cosine rule coz he couldnt see it. But he got answer in end...with like a million pages of working

shit mate, dont brag or anything... We'r all hoping to pass and u come on and winge u wont get 90!! Yeh that triangle one i didnt understand at all, it was to confusing so i left it!! Cssa papers are so hard. i had no idea for that f(a) f(b0 or whatever it was. how r u meant to do that? my mums a 4u maths teacher so i guess shel show me it all tonight! aghhh that test was so hard!
I couldnt even remember how to do 1a0 so u can understand how bad i went!!

imho was pretty decent/easy....i mean compare it to last 2-3 yrs cssa trials and its really nothing..

didnt get that sphere question out though...and the last smh question..the rest was good..

just hope that the 4unit trials are this easy =)

Theres no such thing as 3 limits. Coz if u think about it, u have a max value and a min value...
But i fink ur talking about the simpson's rule ques?
answer was Pi/4 ?
that's 3 sub ordinates.
That was juz an aplication of simpson's rule. The good thing about that is ur answer for that was equal to ur answer of previous part. So if u screwed that up, u'll know from ur previous answer.

WORST-EXAM-EVER!

*puts on best Comic Book Store Guy voice* Ahem, WORST-EXAM-EVER!!
That exam raped me so hard it isn't funny.. I usually do pretty alright in 4 unit. I got 83% and 85% in my last 2 assessments and im coming 13th (until now) in my school, out of two 3 unit classes and one 4 unit class, but that doesn't mean shite anymore.. That exam was just f*cking ridiculous!
I'd say im confident of about 50% of it, i probably didnt answer 20% of it, and the other 30% was freakin sketchy...
I can't wait for 2 unit now, its gonna be such a breeze compared to that mutha of a test!!
