I NEED URGENT HELP! For my Module C essays i have been using the 300 (Spartans) Film and the West Wing as related texts for Antony and Cleopatra.
I don't know whether or not it's pre-exam anxiety getting the best of me, but i'm truly considering changing one of my texts (the West Wing) to the film Chicago. I am not usually an impulsive person, but after viewing the movie tonight i was able to draw so many similarities to Antony and Cleopatra in terms of the powerplay represented.
In both texts the characters each have power in their own right. They each rely on one another to gain/sustain their position of power/authority although ultimately the power resides with the people through the way they are each percieved.
Am i going fucking nuts or am i onto something? I feel more comfortable using Chicago as i have never truly been able to successfully link the West Wing to A+C.
Can i talk actually talk about Chicago in terms of political powerplay, and speaking of which can somebody clearly tell me what my boundaries are in terms of defining 'political' powerplay?
*bites nails and shakes uncontrollably* EEK! HELP GUYS!
Much thanks in advance and good luck to us all!
