Since it has been established by the powers of the administration that Fenner will indeed be my home for the next year, it is obvious that Fenner is the superior dorm of the two.
I see this 'seminar' thingy in my timetable which isn't a tutorial or a lecture...so do i take it as a lecture and show up anyway? and do i only have to show up on one of the seminars?
Thanks
So i was messing around with the timetable maker - then GASP, i found that my enrolment sheet doesn't tell me the courses i will be doing for commerce. I only has the 4 subjects for law i'll be doing but nothing on commerce. I called up my friend also doing com/law and he has the same thing on...
pfft...so there's no kettle and i dont' have one...who cares - using my asian heritage and my unique skillz in the art of boiling water with my eyelids, i should have NO PROBLEMS.
Seeing as we are going off topic, following the trend of most threads in ANU forum -
is anyone gonna add items onto the massive list ziff has already posted?
I would also like to inform you all that i'm royally screwed and that washing linen is not my specialty. The handbook suggests...
Ziff - you are a godsend...how could i forgot all that crap
and the drug testing kit? I'd be lying if i said i thought of that but now that you mentioned it, i'm going to buy one and off to canberra i go
Seeing as i have no idea what and what not to bring, i wanted to ask if you people will post a brief summarised list of stuff which you will all be bringing to the dorms. That way, i can say 'oh crap, i forgot to bring *blah blah* which you are going to bring, thanks for reminding me etc etc...
So i think its been established we move in on the 12th of Feb. Well i think for all dorms...for fenner at least.
Did they establish some sort of time/timetable for us on moving in day or is it going to be an event where its every man/woman for themselves, each convinced that pushing gets...
Mayhemily - Did you try to convince him to make another 'clerical error' and send you to Ursula?
I actually visited the AIHS dorms and though its far from the campus, i gotta say, the rooms are not bad...bigger than the ANU dorms. But then again u'll have to shell out more.
I am soooo...
where and what is civic?
i went to canberra once and went to the shopping center in the city...and its not belonccon...
shit i don't even know how to spell the suburbs.
i did some prior research on actuary/law course.
alot of people drop out of actuary in the first - second year from boredom and a general overall lack of interest. i think it was macquarie that told me approx. 50? or was it 75?% of the students that entered actuary in the first year don't...
I want to shove all my lectures and tuts into 3-4 days *fun fun 6 hr days just like school* but i have no idea how this whole ordeal works. I've been pretty much out of the loop, ANU research time mostly spent on calling up accomodation.
So this online timetable thing - do we like bring it...
yeh like me.
not much info though - but i do know this
Apparently, all first year undergraduate students do 4 subjects per semester which is about 4 hrs a week.
Combined = 2 subjects from one degree and 2 subs from the other degree.
So approx 16 hrs a week worth of tutorials and...
cooking?
Yeh after 3 episodes of IRON CHEF, i feel like i can tackle ANY INGREDIENT and that my 'CRUISINE WILL REIGN SUPREME!'
.......currently finding the nearest fast food eatery near fenner.
i was thinking car - then i scrapped that idea when i realised parking is an expensive endeavor in canberra despite the low population
seems like bike is gonna be the ONLY answer
finally gotten my offer for fenner today - farkkkk too so long and such a stressful process...if this crap continues i'm gonna transfer out of ANU to another university which has its stuff together
