Corp Fin 1 hardly ever gets scaled. Not sure about Sem 1 of this year, but I know for sure (from Craig M) that for the unit last year, the final exam had an average of about 40% (raw) and no scaling was used for the final mark.
I was under the impression that you can overload with 30 cps without having to fill out any forms, etc. However any more than that, then you need to have permission from the faculty. I did 5 subjects last semester without going through anyone... and I'm doing the same this semester.
For our art history major, do the subjects we choose have to make some sort of cohesive sense (I mean our senior subjects) and complement each other... or can they just be whatever we find interesting? I'll be having to do ARHT1001 next year anyway because I haven't done it yet.
I'm sure...
Whoops :headbang: Well at least I know where I've gone wrong now!
This is the first time I've done art history at uni, so I need to do the junior semester one subject next year.
I was a bit stuck with the Hitler one as well - German expressionism and using it as a political device and all that stuff I guess, but I just pointed out the absolute obvious.
I think it would have been fine. When my time was up, I was in the middle of a word and tried finishing it and I...
At least Dada wasn't featured predominantly! It was pretty subjective. I don't think I did too well though because I did a slight freak out and just typed whatever I knew about Leger/Duchamp/Picasso/etc and their respective movments and of course the actual work - one paragraph per work, and...
Well I guess he was right when he said it was a good test for those people who actually turned up to lectures! I can be happy for being a geek and going to the majority - didn't go to Fauves so wasn't too sure about that one.
I thought it was alright - Cubism featured twice. Which pairs...
Hmmmm I haven't done this before... like I said before so I'm sounding like a broken record whoops.
Would it be useful to be really geeky and do a little summary of all the movements? Or... is that going too far adn I should I just rely on... notes?
It was about how the CIA funded Jackson Pollock's paintings to be exhibited around the world so that America could culturally take over the world. Everyone was just like wtf!?!?
Which essay question are you doing? I haven't started yet. Whoops. Fisher ran out of the books I needed, I'm...
I thought it was hilarious how he had his CIA theory about Jackson Pollock! Even my tutor said not to worry about that, that it's just Julian with a crazy idea.
Anyway, I'm really farked for this essay.
