hahaha this just made me laugh. OFL
it's like saying ..whoever told you antarctica is in the middle of nowhere?? its only 4 hours from the south coast of australia (if you can hitch a ride with some over-ambitious snow explorer).
not giving my uni a bad name though
on a good day its...
:P scientists CAN remember!
what did you say?? lol
okay that sounds fun too GENS 0911 Maniacs, Murderers and Medical Detectives. how fun can it be learning about the gruesome history of killers?!?!? :axedeath:
its given by school of HPSC
Survivor39..having done psych first year would have meant that you're not permitted to do the above psych gen eds, no?
I'd think that it could be interesting but hoping its not too much stuff packed into a gen ed! and the 6UOC would mean that its classed as 2 gen eds in one i'm sure.
hmmm..true but it was specified that for a biotech major you need 6UOC from either BIOS or BIOT. and BIOS was what I went for..
I read up in the handbook and you dont need any BIOT course til 3rd year..so weird! but I guess it concentrates on major areas of biological/chemical science anyway.
hey just wondering if anyone has done or is doing any of these gen eds..
GENT0201 Communication Skills
GENL5030 Understanding Tax
GENL1061 Religion & Terror
GENS9007 Psychobiology of Love, Sex & Attraction
GENS6013 Plants & People: Murder Magic Medicine
GENS9002 Psychology of the Body...
:worried:
aahhh...well drugs could be fun. as long as anything I do doesnt involve complex maths!! eeekk I mean I dont have to worry right?
biotech does not = maths...
bleh bleh..BIOC,PHPH and MICR gives me a crappy timetable
oh by the way I need to make up 6UOC can I do a first year...
I agree with soha..
you can hold back ..though it doesnt even have to be for religion.
I'm 18 and Ive always wanted to know what it's like to share a real kiss.
Ther have been times when I've fantasised what it's like to kiss a guy that I am familiar with..
But you know, guys come and go...
I know this sounds ridiculous but I dont have much idea on my major..I'm 2nd yr B Science..
nothing interests me that much to make me want to do it or not do it. But i have a list of majors which perhaps someone might know which one has more jobs or is more 'fun' to do...
Just wondering whether the confirmation email is necessary to get the diary...
I registered but somehow the stupid email didnt come yet!
another annoying thing about technology! :chainsaw:
btw..does anyone know why the BIOS1201 tutorials have different lengths?
is it better to attend the lengthier one or the shorter one?
http://www.bees.unsw.edu.au/timetables/BiosEnvs1stYrS1-2004.pdf
This is totally frustrating!!!!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I HATE THIS STUPID ONLINE ENROLMENT!
Now I have to change my stupid timetable again!!
and by the looks of it I'll be staying back late!!! how annoying!
Although public transport isnt the ideal way to get to uni, the city rail travel passes seem less expensive...
http://www.cityrail.info/fares/fare_3.jsp
the only thing I'm confused about is what the red, yellow and pink dont have in common!!!!
I live in western syd so thats the pink bit...
I'm totally lost on minors..does this mean we can choose a course from some other faculty as stated in the handbook for science minors?
If I choose to do something like Law, can that be possible?
agghhh so lost!!!
Do we get to choose for first year?!?!
okay I cant decide on what major to do...is microbiology & immunology better than physiology & pharmacology?
I know I have until next year to decide but can anyone with more experience give some advice please?
thank you
I was thinking maybe to the immunology/genetics side..
I really want to do B Med Sc later so I can get a career in perhaps ..research?
I have no idea how to go about this though.
The courses and UoC sound too confusing!
I want to do B Sc and was wondering which uni is best for that? this year it seems the cutoffs for UNSW Science has dropped .01 and risen for sydney like 3 pts.
Is there a difference in the teaching quality and facilities?
