Nope our school's do not moderate marks. Neither does Sydney boys, NSG or NSB, not sure about the others.
It may be a disadvange as generally selective high school exams are marked harder.
Your UAI get's scaled (a ting bit) according to how well your year (at school) does as well, that's why it matters to some people.

Nah, because IPT is so theory based, she just read everything but had no idea how to apply it, like if we actually gave her computers and told her to set up a network using switches, routers etc. she wouldn't know. She didn't even know how to burn a CD.

Well I'm in yr 10 and had to choose my subjects for next year. I wanted to do Beginner Jap but because my school is stupid they wouldn't let me do it (not in open high either), but I really really want to do japanese.
I'm prepared to study really hard until the end of this year to catch up 3-4...

I found the prelim was, getting like 95%
but HSC is hard for me now, 62% maybe? hahaha..
I'm in year 10 so maybe that's why it's harder for me... I wonder if I would have been easier if I did start it in yr 11 rather than yr 9 >.<

Oh god... with Prelim I just memorised answers, but HSC is a lot different and memorising answer don't help.
This girl in my class who does very well memorises the answers then a couple of weeks ago she asked me how to burn a CD >.<
