Twin rooms are fine
As long as you dont get a weird roomie... or you ARE a weird roomie...
Ive known plenty of people who have lived in twin rooms and loved it
Nothing to worry about at all
Enjoy it!
They are all pretty good. Once you go where you are put though you will believe that that is the best from that day on... It happens.
They are all great for partying... Towers the more so - but small rooms and cramped. JOV is awesome atmosphere but paper thin walls... Diggings is seen as the...
Theres a post somewhere here where i list all the pros and cons of self catered so you might wanna look for that...
but basically diggings is good if you want the option of being able to grab some time for yourself to study if you want. The accomodation is set up so that if there is a party in...

You get heaps of free time in first year... i know as a comm student i think first semester is only 15 contact hours a week or something like that
It is no more than maybe 3 hrs a day... so plenty of free time.
The weekend drive - alot of people do it in first semester but i advise against it...
I can provide one, though i must mention i am biased towards Traditional Diggings as I have stayed there for 2 years now...
TRADITIONAL DIGGINGS
Pros
- Good size rooms
- Good people
- Good Atmosphere
- Can get away from it all and study if need be.... if need be....
- Affordable
- Close...
Im guessing Bundyy is Ali?
I know we had our problems at the start of the year
But obvioulsy i havent been on here for a while so thats the first time ive read that reply.... but id like to think thats behind us now? we've had a talk and now we're good would you say?
Just thought id clear it...
I got back yesterday
They were awesome
I played volleyball for CSU we came 6th i think... i think i played drunk at least 3 times...
I only drank beer and gatorade!
Hope next year goes ahead
Cant wait!
Gday Sam!
The kitchens are located in each block - 8 people to one kitchen. Electric stoves in traditional diggings, gas in new diggings
Its pretty well managed - ive been there almost 2 years now and never has everyone been cooking at the same time...
As for your computer - its worthwhile...
hey
I know a fair few people doing this course and they seem pretty happy with it
As a comm. radio student i also have to do a shit load of advertising subjects and they are all pretty cool
The first thing you will get told when you start there is that CSU' communication faculty is the best...
Takes a while to get over the whole away from home thing..
but it sounds like you dont really have any reason to hate it... Keep at it
Where are you stayin btw??
yeh food is provided in o week - though im told it is the worst dining hall gets... i didnt find it too bad
as for party money - beers are around $3, but goon sunrise go for a cheap $2!
nothing wrong with that!
For sure - co op membership is a must
but goto co op online and check your text lists to get an idea of how much you'll be spending
I know for first year coms almost everyone gets the same texts - and they aint that expensive... from what i can remember
have fun
