I'll just add that analysis and algebra are probably the two most challenging 2nd year maths courses and thus undoubtedly the most interesting (and rewarding).
Why does usyd insist on using a piece of shit timetabling system that every year forces me to go to uni for the sole purpose of being told "you have a clash, there's nothing you can do about it" <print>.
lol.. what a shock it must be for some people
turns out it's not a good idea to blindly follow "the money" and study something you don't enjoy... who knew...
Zzz. That was clearly an attack on you personally, not the validity of disagreement with government policy.
Clearly Sen. Conroy is a useless piece of shit; it's common knowledge.
You're arguing with fictional characters now? Wanna let us know what they're saying? I never said the cost was anything near "effectively nil." I said assuming bandwidth cost is going to stay the same is fucking stupid; firstly because it's always reducing and secondly because brand-new...
Uh, the cost of transnational submarine bandwidth is definitely not negligible given a disproportionate amount of Australian traffic ends up going straight to the US, but it's definitely not the main reason for high costs in Australia. That comes down to lack of competition, poor local...
Uh... yeah... I like the part where you're basing the future cost of bandwidth (on a FTTH network) on the cost of bandwidth on the present (not even FTTN) network...
In time you'll come to realise that mathematics goes only so far as a model for reality, and nuances like this really have no appreciable consequences. Consider that someone had to decide how to define GPE, in the context of a purely invented quantity that can complement other concepts of...
Your whole timetable will be reallocated. But it still might not change significantly, it depends how many different streams there are for your existing subjects. If you're sticking to all other advanced subjects (which have only 1 lecture stream), you might find it doesn't change a lot.
Yep. Only plus is I might be able to get a day off now... it's pretty ridiculous, last year was just a normal load of all adv. science and i had 25+ contact hours... now I'm overloading in both semesters, but because 2/5 are law units, my contact hours have dropped heaps.
