What kind of journey do you think each character is about to embark on? Are they all super keen to go? What experiences is each expecting? What can you tell about the personality/background of each character?

I strongly advise against memorising essays. If you memorise a bunch of essays as your only study in English, you're only ever going to be able to answer a few questions. If you understand the texts well then you will be able to answer every question.
