Hello,
I can't speak much for the science bit but I can help with the business bit.
Maths knowledge varies from subject to subject, like you'll have some subjects which require 2-3 unit knowledge like Quantitative Business Analysis and Business Statistics and some which require NO maths...
This time around I have 3 night exams which sucks because they're all 3 hour exams so I won't get home till 10 something (they finish at 9) -_-
At least there are no Saturday exams.
Hey,
I'm doing Contracts next sem too! I think there is a midsem as the uts online midsem exam timetable included one for contracts.
I've done torts and crim this semester - there are no midsem exams for those subects (unless there is a massive change of some sort).
Hope that helps.
Hello,
For perspectives and legal method classes are split like this:
Legal Method: 1 seminar 'sem' and 1 computer skills class 'comp.'
Perspectives is two 2hr seminars a week.
When you pick, you pick a section, i.e. a group of classes to attend, this is to prevent people from inadvertently...
Hello,
I'm doing this subject next sem and I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit more about the group work for this subject, like whether or not your group members have to be in the same tute as you etc etc.
Much thanks in advance,
Jen.
Posting these instead of studying for accounting 2 and business statistics yay!
Subject Name: Managing People and Organisations
Subject Number: 21129
Faculty: Faculty of Business (School of Management)
Semester: Autumn, 2009
Ease: 8/10 - most of the principles were pretty much common sense...
The diaries are too flimsy and full of ads...I prefer to get one that is hardback so that it doesn't end up squashed and torn somewhere in the bottom of my bag =P
It depends what type of person you are.
If you like maths based subjects then you could do Accounting, Economics, the Finance intro subject or Business Stats.
If you like psychological, social science-y sort of subjects then do Marketing or Managing People and Organisations.
Hope this helps.
Hey people,
I just wanted to get as much of my textbook shopping done before semester as I don't fancy standing in line at the bookshop during my breaks between classes (not that I have very many).
Does anyone know what the set texts are for Criminal Law and Torts? I'd like to get them second...
My advice: save up as much money during the summer holidays before uni, it definitely makes a difference. Get a job during the Christmas periods as most shops are looking for casuals. Get a head start.
Food/necessities: $50 (I usually bring snack bars or something from home so this is for coffee, water etc.)
Travel: $60 (petrol, buses and trains)
Clothes shopping: $? (I only buy things when I need them)
YOu can tell I have a very extravagant spending nature.
Its not the end of the world if you do not make it straight in as a recent school leaver. This is why God created transfers, tafe and alternate pathways to uni such as UTS Insearch.
Meh, you can try your best, but its impossible for EVERYONE to be happy. Just be happy with what you have.
For UTS its 14 weeks a semester and you get VC week etc etc. but if its not an official break then during that time most likely you'll be studying for your exams or doing assignments.
But when I mention holidays they won't be the sort that you're used to in the sense that you'll be doing...
