My teacher expects three pieces of work every day up until the exams- I do Extension which is the last day so that's an awful lot of work!! What are you guys doing/ expected to do?

yeah I've got plenty. I'm using Desert Angel (Frontline- not on the syllabus), two pop songs about truth and breaking relationships, and a historeography textbook.

If you can handle it try a historeography text like Warren or Finley. It relates to History Extension but it's also really good for Truth (although better for The Justice Game than Frontline) "The masses do Frontline. The elite do The Justice Game." My English teacher

YES!!!- you have to read it. I'm doing King Lear and I hate Shakespeare, but if you don't read it you'll get bad marks. It's as simple as that.

basically the thing to prepare (I'm doing readings so it might differ a bit for you) is three readings, three scenes. That's the max they can possibly ask you- it'd be a bitch of a question but it covers all bases. they'll probably only ask for 2-2.

1. Read the texts. You'll be ahead of 30% of the candidates if you do that. 2. Form your own ideas, but make sure you justify them. A parrot can't do the HSC- remember why. 3. Back up what you say with evidence (literary theory books, works of critics, things like that).

one word: YES. It's meant to be critical study. That means that you have to know the text in detail. Don 't rob yourself of the marks. I've had to read stuff I hate, too, but I want the marks (who would read "Snow Falling on Cedars" for fun?)

and if you write about more than the perspectives they ask for (or whatever) just do the third and subsequent briefly. What they mean by two is "two in sufficient detail"

no but you run out of time so will probably lose marks in the other sections

I'm doing The Justice Game, too. Look at how the prosecution and the defence both shape the truth for their cases. Then look at how Robertson shapes the truth to convince his readers (what does he tell you? what does he leave out? etc). ~~The masses do Frontline. The elite do The Justice...
