Re: The UTS 'Get Naked and Sexams coming soon!!' Thread
i had a much better time tackling CMS than ASR. I felt much more comfortable with that material.
Applied Company Law - expected a solid credit before exam, now hoping for a low credit, or pass. i had zero knowledge of the Esanda case that was asked about :/
Tax Law - Credit.
Managing Value Stream - Distinction - HD if i'm very lucky.
Org Structure and Change - my most hated uni topic so...
i agree cookie, prestige when talking about an undergrad business/commerce degree is really a non issue. once you get to postgrad it becomes more of an issue but for the average pimply 19 year old...companies couldn't care less about whether you went to UNSW/USYD/UTS/Mac.
yes there was some role play incolved, eg a couple of mock interview questions. the presentation skills sessions is the most challenging by far, but you just need to give it a crack to make them happy :)
Prior:
Deloitte
KPMG
EY
PwCAfter:
Deloitte
KPMG
EY
PwCThis was after a rejection by EY at online application stage, undergoing the KPMG assessment centre, not applying for PwC, and getting an offer from Deloitte.
I went through this program last year. It's certainly worth while doing, there are 4 sessions over about a year and they run for either a full morning or full afternoon. The graduate recruitment team run the workshops, and they're on topics such as resumes, interview skills, presentation skills...
answering an above query about Deloitte, I'm in sydney.
Also, regarding the folders, i reckon if one of the big 4 produced them in velour it'd certainly sell me.
mmm velour.
i received an offer from Deloitte this evening for growth solutions. very happy with that as Deloitte was by far my number one preference (partly because of my dealings with them over the course of the deloitte development program).
yay!
good luck to everyone who's still going through the process!
i've certainly had varied success: didn't apply for PwC, application rejected by EY, rejected after assessment at KPMG, through to partner interview at Deloitte.
i'm going into Deloitte on Wednesday 10.30am, growth solutions line.
I had the KPMG written/group/interview dealio last friday, it was all quite painless which was a nice surprise.
haven't heard back from EY yet, but i'd take deloitte or KPMG over them so i'm not too bothered about that.
good...
