Well I am in Kinloch now! It is very nice and there is an O-week program which is good!
So I guess if I haven't got a scholarship email by now I haven't got one??!?! That is sad. Congrats to those that did....wanna half it?
How is everyone else's accom?
Thanks guys. So if my arts subject ENGL1004 clashes with a law subject, should I not be too worried just yet?
So don't buy textbooks until first week and first lecture?
Just a question, can anyone work out the Law timetable, especially with Laws1203 having all different tutorial groups etc and Laws 1201 being completely absent?!?!
And also, how do you buy textbooks? Do you buy them on campus or is the Co-op bookshop online the best way to go? And how or when...
Dreamee, did you get your offer on a Sunday? That would be weird! What sort of room is it? Congrats though! Loving that there will be heaps of first years around UL!
Getting exciting now!
Has anyone got a Regional or National Merit scholarship yet? Or know whether they are out?
Ok Garrybarry, why don't we just crush Cricketfan a little bit more?
Hopefully UniLodge will also have some people who are perhaps a little bit more empathetic to others. UniLodge will only be as social as peope make it, same with Fenner, Bruce or anywhere else, I think we all realise that...
Ohhhh Ephorex, you have a balcony!!!! I'm on the fourth floor with two other females which is good, I just SOOO hope that they are first years! Can you believe they charge 20c for printing one page?!?!?!?! Crazy....
Well at least you are in Cricketfan! And Fenner Hall will probably be more...
How is day 10003895 of waiting going for everyone?
I have done a ring around of the colleges just making sure that there were no declines of others offers and stuff...but they were all pretty cold....
So I have begrudgingly sent my deposit away to UniLodge.... Any others who are heading off...
So is annyyyyoooonnnnnneeeeee in a 3B multishare in Kinloch....I am, and I am a first year who hopes to share with other first years or at least be near first years to make some friends!
So what is the cultural side of UniLodge like? Is it like a residential college with debating and music and...
I can't wait a little but mainly I am just really nervous...I don't understand uni stuff like majors, minors, courses, electives blah blah....nervous about accommodation...nervous about making friends....but once all that is sorted how bad could uni be?
Cricketfan and Imallergic DO NOT FEAR
Hell, if I got an offer, you WILL get an offer! Very near. I refuse to turn into one of those smug I'm-stress free-because-I-got-an-offer types whom I still detest. I dont really see Kinloch as an offer, more as a settlement...
Hmmmm is it possible then...
Oh thanks you guys! Turns out I sent a very restrained email to UniLodge and they Revised my offer and now I am in a 3 Bedroom share room at Kinloch. Anyone going there? Although it only works out about $20 cheaper, I would much prefer to have company and roomies to sort of share cooking and...
Im Allergic, cry for me too. I got an offer for UniLodge for a fucking single studion, like WTF?!?!?!?! Can I afford $12000 or more a year for a 52 week contract not including food and other stuff. I can't believe that I can't even share an apartment like GGRRRRR!!!
I think I might look into...
I have no idea how that is working. Where are you going Breezer? I just wish I would get an official offer, soooo sick of waiting, incredibly angry haha
So according to Over-the-phone-Anna I am into Unilodge just awaiting an email...all very unofficial...
So why does everyone think it will end up more expensive? I really hope I get into a 3 room apartment...just a nice number without being 5. Is 5 rooms the cheapest and the 1 room apartment...
