Hi
I was wondering what the spread of marks are generally for essay-assessed arts subjects, at the top end. What is the top mark, usually? [I've heard it is practically impossible to get 95+, is this true?] And how many people typically get H1?
I was placed next to the Dalai Lama:)
Interesting how they asked you things like whether you considered especially abstract modern art to be "really art" in determining where you stand politically
sublime
surreptitious
eloquent
unsalubrious
deliciously
to name but a few
I enjoy choosing extravagantly unneccesary words in the same way I enjoy choosing frocks
Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
I'm semi-conscious of that, but I didn't ask anything about the book, only how it might affect peoples' time at school in the days after it comes out.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
How fast will you read it for the first time??? -will you finish it on opening weekend???
How would you feel going to school not having read it???
Would you miss a day to finish it???
Anybody to avoid in particular??
Personally I've stretched...
Apologies if this has already been asked, but IS it illegal to burn the
Australian flag?
Stealing, burning on a Total Fire Ban day, endangering others during the burning, would be offences. Making the act illegal would surely be a violation of free speech, no?
How can some bar be said to have "the worlds best Martinis" when one consists only of 2 ingredients [+ ice in the preparation and a green olive???]
Do you all agree a Martini's simply a Martini or am i hopelessly unenlightened?
One of my friends eats stuff he finds in the supermarket[ typically, expensive chocolate and kabanos (polish sausages)] as soon as he picks them off the shelves :) I'm not sure I'd have the nerve to do that.
No mention of Janet Clarke Hall, my 1st choice? [I'm doing arts in 2008]
The whole culture there attracted me, epitomised by what they do in O-week: NGV, Melb symphony orchestra and Yarra cruise, as well as a scaveger hunt and themed parties. No-one opting out is ostracised.
Obviously...
I'm strongly against, the main reason being the suffering of the murderer's family if a he/she is killed.
however, the following merits consideration: If double parking was a capital offence many lives would be saved each year
