I want to transfer from Commerce/Arts to Commerce (Liberal Studies) now, but I only had a UAI of 89.75, what sort of average would I need to transfer? I planned to major in Japanese, but I realy dislike the way they teach it at usyd, so I gave up on that idea.

It's not that we don't have any non-asian friends, but we're just not used to being in such a different environment. There's nothing we can do about it anyway, we'll just have to do exactly that, 'socialise with the 90%+ or so caucasian majority.' :)

What's up with all this fob talk? I enrolled the other day and it was 95% aussie/white/causcasians(sorry I don't know which term is the most correct to use) enrolling. I'm an Australian-born Chinese and went to a high school with lots of asians, so I kinda feel out of place... I have a friend...

u wouldn't of gotten marked down cos u spoke for that long, but the thing is the longer you speak for, the more mistakes you make. For my trials, i totally forgot about the time and spoke for like 5mins each or something. It was terrible.

i didn't like this "Compare the ways in which texts use ____ to explore aspects of human experience".... i had no idea what to write and just made up shit all the way through........... i did this section last lol Mod B- 8.5pgs C- 6.5 pgs and A - only about 5 with really spaced out writing =_="

it was an easy paper, except i didn't really understand the strictly ballroom question with the 'human experiences' ... lol not too sure i answered the question, but blabbed. I really liked the other two, it was very simple and esasy to link to my generic essays... only if i studied harder...

there is a big gap. Students who may be doing extension english with students who just missed out in ESL.

I reckon section one was way too hard for people doing standard english. I mean... even people doing Advanced had such difficulty. I certainly didn't do well... any thoughts?

i thought this question was quite easy. But i screwed up pretty bad in section 1 hahahha... like no comment. For awAy i just basically talked about Gwen's unexpected reconciliation from experiences encountered on her physical journey. A detour is just change right ? lol
