Hey, I am currently at the very end of my biomedical science degree (one unit to go in tri 1 2015) and find myself unsure of my future. I have applied for medicine and have sat my interviews but if med doesn't happen for me in 2015 I feel like I'm stuck. I plan to use my biomed degree to take me...
One of my friends got s1 63 (96%ile overall) and has a 6.6 GPA(finished biomed). She lives in QLD so does that mean she will be offered an interview in a later interview offer round because she is an interstate applicant?
P.s. she hasn't received an offer yet o.O
Thanks amirbang thats a sigh of relief. Also do they look at the academic side of things for med offers? ie. I'm currently in my 3rd year of biomed at une with a GPA of 5.6. My hsc school was shitty (over 350th in state for rank) and my 2010 atar was only 85.85. I got told by my med friends at...
So my S1 isnt very competitive, but im rural and the rural threshold is 50. Has anyone heard of someone getting into JMP with a rural s1 score of 56??
thanks
Hey, sorry for posting again but I didn't get a clear answer first time around and I'm unsure what I should do. I figure someone on here will have a better understanding of the application process then I do.
UMAT: 56-52-58 (74%ile)
GPA (3rd year Biomed @ UNE): 5.6
ATAR (2010): 85.85
Rural...
But im from NSW.. also my grades are borderline.. GPA=5.65.. isnt there an interstate issue? Also im in my last year of a Biomed degree at UNE.. does anyone know if my Biomed background might increase any chances i have at intervews?
hey:
2013 (58%ile)
1-54
2-41
3-60
2014(74%ile)
1-56
2-52
3-58
Can someone please tell me what unis I might be able to get interviews at.. im a rural applicant.. thanks
thankyou.. also i am rural and i heard that as long as my percentile is 50+ i will b considered as they need more rural doctors.. is this in anyway correct?
in terms of section 1 and 3 i think i got around (65% and 80%).. they felt easier to me than section 2. if i get below 50% in section 2 does that mean my umat percentile will b irrelevant as i have failed a section??
i think i went really bad in section 2, i found myself guessing a few questions. does it matter if i fail this section in terms of my overall percentile??
section1- i found to be alright.
section2-easily my worst section.
section3-i think i did well.. it was my best section.
just a random question.. Does it matter if you fail a section in the umat? (ie get less than 50% in a section)
