True - but take care. It's NOT the sum of the numbers.
We have two possible set of numbers
1 1 1 2 2 OR
1 1 2 2 2
......^
NOTE - the third column. Here we see that '1' is less than '2' so the numbering is ROW one
so we have (in alpha order)
2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluroethane
Sorry to say this, but you might be mistaken.
A co-ordinate covalent bond is a shared pair of electrons (like a normal covalent bond) ... BUT ... both electrons come from only one of the 'atoms' being joined. In a 'normal' covalent bond, each 'atom' supplies one electron each to the "shaired...
Re: Need help to write out experiment with chyclohexene and cylcohexane and bromine w
This is an example of dynamic equilibrium. As Br2 is only slightly soluble in water most of it stays as Br2 - ie the position of equilibrium lies to the left.

A buffer is something that keeps the concentration of (say) H+ ions constant. For example if the [H+] gets too high the pH drops and the blood gets too acidic. A buffer stops this from happening. :)
Amphoteric (is NOT in the syllabus) - it means that that substance REACTS with both acids and bases. (Remember that just by reacting with an acid does NOT mean it is a base eg magnesium ribbbon) The 'typical' amphoteric substance, usually given, is aluminium hydroxide, Al(OH)3
Amphiprotic -...
Bullet points are fine, howerer ...
... the "key words" [eg identify, explain, etc) need to be known & used.
btw diagrams are a great way to HELP 'describe' .....
(remember, a picture is worth a 1,000 words. lol)
The syllabus has been on the BOS website for ALL to read.
You can blame the teacher :mad1: , but you can also blame yourself for not being informed. :bomb:
