In feb you guys should get an email or something about o-week (thats what I got). It will basically tell you the schedule for O-week..things like meeting other colleges for lunch, trivia night etc. Other than that you don't get anything regarding o-week.
oh sorry i thought u were..but that doesn't affect it too much. I have friends from hong kong who are domestic and got in. Also, we have a lot of people from zimbabwe who get in every year. For the most part, it seems if you live overseas you get in
Nah, age doesn't have anything to do with it. I know plenty of people who were 17 when they got to cromwell and I was 20. From what I can see, most international kids who apply get in. Don't stress.
oh and skathe...IH seems like a great place. Everyone I know seems to like living there. Be prepared to do a lot of sporting teams/events with Cromwell...
I don't see how your age should affect your application to cromwell. There are tons of first years there who are 19. The prinicpal can be a bit of a weirdo. Yeah, the food is great at first but you get over it quickly. As far as I know, there should be about somewhere around 50 spaces opening up...
where in Canada are you thinking about doing an exchange? I recommend going to a large city like Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto. Way better. Canada is awesome..everyone loves australians.
I had to make that choice..and I chose Australia because its cheaper, better living environment and much better weather. Where I live now, it rains all the time..why go somewhere else that has crap weather when I can go to a place that has 300 days of sunshine a year
thanks trev! I did email them back..but I'm still waiting..cuz according to his email "At this stage I am just making an enquiry. If you are interest I would then consider whether or not to make a formal offer and discuss with you how you could secure your place."...
so it wasnt even an...

penn state has a very good rep..I have a friend who went on exchange there and she loved it. It is bing on football and the games look like they would be fun to watch
A friend of mine taught English in China for a year, and she hated it. I think it was bad for her because she was white and couldn't speak chinese (i'm assuming you are chinese...), some old lady actually spit in her face once. I don't know how she got the job, but most of the time you will be...
Oh, thanks! I think I'm going to go with a standard room.. I'd rather not pay so much for a room. Guess I'll just suffer in a non air-conditioned room and sharing the bathroom with others!
So, I was just offered a place at Cromwell for 2007. They offered me a deluxe room...I'll probably be able to afford it, but was just wondering what you guys thought about the deluxe rooms (air conditioning, ensuite etc). Are they on the same floor as standard rooms?
Just got an email back from cromwell about references:
Hello *,
If you received an academic reference when you left school or from education qualification received since school, then submit that academic reference. The Principal needs some idea of your academic ability. It it not...
