I think from memory that lecture theatre is in the Human and Environmental Studies building. I wouldn't know which room it is exactly since I studied Arts/Law, but the building is between the Northern Carpark and the Education building.
You can either wait until you pick up your unit guide at your first lecture for a particular subject or you can check out the UNE textbook list at: http://www.une.edu.au/textbooks/student_search_page . You can then check out approx prices for the books at: http://www.ucb.net.au/ (United Campus...
Yep, follow ObjectsInSpace's directions. It's pretty hard to miss - from memory, there are green chairs in there. It's commonly used for theatre productions.
Thanks for the Dallas comment mickant72 - I'm a big fan of Dallas (JR would have to be my fav character).
Anyway, EPC does not have antenna sockets in individual rooms (although they are in common rooms ....). Personally I had a computer and TV in my room because I wanted to watch shows...
In the 5 years I spent at college, although the "tagging" rule was there, it was never enforced (that's not to say that they wouldn't do it this year though). You'll see the tags on most electrical items that the college owns. Basically it's there to ensure that the electrical items used are...
Re: Whats accommadation like?
Besides EPC, the history of the other colleges are as follows:
Mary White College was named after Mary White of Saumarez Homestead (where I used to be a tour guide). She was on the New England Uni College Advisory Council from 1938 till 1948.
Robb College was...
Re: Whats accommadation like?
Besides being caretaker Prime Minister for a short period in 1939 following the death of Joseph Lyons, Sir Earle Page was the first Chancellor of UNE. He studied medicine at Sydney Uni.
Sir Earle Page died in 1961 and EPC (which opened in 1963) was named after...
In my final year of law (last year), there were another two 5th yrs at Earle Page as well.
Congrats everyone for getting into UNE and your respective colleges. You'll have a great time there :).
Re: Whats accommadation like?
That's interesting that offers to new students are made before returners. I remember at EPC that we put in our room preferences at the end of the year. In any case, at EPC there's generally a wide variety of courses being studied by the students so you should be...
Re: Whats accommadation like?
Rooms are randomly assigned based on what's left but you will generally be placed near gerros (2nd yrs and above) who are doing a similar degree to you.
Re: Whats accommadation like?
BlackDragon:
Earle Page has iron facilities on each floor - they are located in each floor's common room. As ObjectsInSpace indicated, it is difficult to determine how many freshers Earle Page will take this year as it is dependent on how many spare rooms there...
I stayed at EPC for 5 years so have no problems answering your questions.
The official address for EPC is:
Earle Page College
University of New England
Armidale NSW 2351
For residents, you just add your name to the address. The mail is delivered each afternoon and placed into...
Re: Whats accommadation like?
BlackDragon: Glad that you like Earle Page. I'm not sure about this year, but generally places at EPC fill up pretty quickly. I would say that your chances of getting in are pretty good since you've applied before the UAIs etc come out. That being said, it all...
Hi!
I studied internally for the entire 5yrs of my Arts/Law degree (although some subjects were externally based). I personally preferred doing the subjects internally because that gave you a greater chance to chat with your fellow students & lecturers. Then again, as UNE is a highly...
There isn't a B Arts/B Environmental Science double degree at UNE as per http://study.une.edu.au/courselist.php3?coursetype=2&p=MCOURSE . If you are really set on doing that sort of degree, then I would recommend doing something like B Arts/B Science and including environmental studies as a...
Hi! You might want to have a look at this link: http://study.une.edu.au/pagesection.php3?sectionID=131&p=AFC which gives all the info about transferring to an off campus course at UNE. Your application is considered on both your high school & uni results to date. You should also look at...
