Got the following in my email a few days ago. It seems that it was only sent to me for some strange reason (according to the email header info). Anyone else got the email?

Dear Student,
The outstanding quality of our accounting research has been recognised internationally by the...
Hi,
I didn't make it to O-week and im just wondering if we need to go to the ELECT1011 LAB? I got it tomorow @ 10am and not sure were to go. I checked the EE site but couldnt find any info.
Also, i know there are no Math/Phys tuts/labs - do we just not turn up to them or do we have to do...
Im just wondering, for those who did Math 1A with no ext 1 background, how did you find it? Difficult? Failing? Killing it? :p
And what about discrete math? I've been told it's alot harder than Math 1A! + i'm that in session 1 along with Math1A.
Hi,
Just making sure, once we finish enrolling into subjects and everything, is the status meant to change? Mine is "Matriculation", is that good? Or are there other stuff that needs to be done?
thanks. :D
Is an Engineering Degree here useless overseas?
Hi,
I heard that an engineering degree (probably other degrees too) in Australia would be useless in USA (and some other countries too). ie Australias Engineering Degree = shit compared to "USA's" engineering degree.
Is this true...
Hi
i know that cos(2x) = cos^2(x) - sin^2(x). But how does that then equal to 1-2sin^2(x)? and then = to 2cos^2(x) - 1. Can someone show me some sort of proof?
Thanks. :)
Men i feel stupid asking this but when enrolling it asks "Have you been Granted a Certificate of Australian Citizenship but haven't taken the pledge?". What's this pledge thing? I have the certificate of australian citizenship though (or what ever its called).
Thanks. :D
Im just wondering how you accepted or declined your old/new offer?
I sent an email so that i can decline one of my offers but it's taking too long. I cant do my timetable untill one of the offers is gone. grrr
Thanks. :)
I went UAC and got EE offer (which i want to decline) so i go to MY UNSW and it has this:
http://www.geocities.com/nyouhana/myUNSW.JPG (copy n paste)
I already accepted computer engineering/science from before, how can it just dissapear? There is also no option to do timetables n stuff. :(
Looking at the Computer Engineering subjects/courses (or watever the correct name is :p), there are some pretty interesting electives. Can we do more than the MAX alowed? e.g. Say the maximum UOC we can do is 30. Can we add another 12 or 18? :D
heh Thanks.
I just want to make sure what exacrtly needs to be done to enroll @ UNSW.
1/ My UNSW accepting/enrolling Part 1. - Done
2/ MY UNSW PART 2 on february 2nd (or something). - not done...yet.
Is that all? Does the second part of MY.UNSW include the HECS payment stuff/info or were we meant...
Hi
is it too late to apply for a ext 1 briding course for UNSW? I thought it wasn't untill mid february. :(
If it's not too late, do i just fill the form in and send it and do i have to wait for some sort of reply?
Thanks.
Hi, i'm really confused about the online enrolment as most of you are (like someone said, feels like im missing something). I'm wondering when do we actually start enrolling/choosing the subjects we want to do for the first sesssion?
Thanks. :)
I got Comp eng (1st pref) but i want to do B eng (electrical), B science. Looking at the UAI cutoff pdf, theire is no "V" next to the course (V = no late round offers). What are my chances u recon? Oh and my UAI was like 9 pts lower than Comp Eng cuttoff, i thought there was no way i'd get in...
I dont udnerstand something. The "B Eng, B Scie (elect Eng)" has a cut off of about 83. Now if i want to major in comp science for the science part, i need a UAI of 90 (even though comp science degree alone has a UAI of ~84). Why is that?
i.e...
B eng (elect) = 80.0
B Comp Science = ~84
B...
Hi there,
The comp3211 in Electrical engineering elective is called "Computer Architecture" whereas in Computer Engineering degree its called "microprocessor and embeded systems". Is it still the EXACT same thing under a different name?
Thanks. :)
Hi
I thought that if i did the electric engineering/science degree, the electric engineering component will be exactly the same as doing the single degree version. I'm looking at the program structure and it's different. For example, for the double degree theres no Higher Physics whilst for...
Hi.
Are the electives the same as the single degree version? ie would comp scie/EE electives be the same as if i did both degrees sperately?
According to this , the electives are the same (actually even more!). Can anyone who knows about it please check to make sure?
Thank you. :)
How hard would that be? I mean, you need a fairly good result to be able to transfer. Electric engineering is extremely hard i heard so it may be more difficult to gain sufficient marks to be able transfer (internally). What do you guys reckon?
Also, im comparing Computer Engineering first...
