what are everyone's expectations of the harder 3U section on monday. after trawling through the other topics im gona come to that final question and go bleh! depending on what topics its on... im hoping to pick up mabey 7-8 out of this section.... but im not holding my hopes high of success...
i have come accross some contradicting accounts of trends of the priority areas from some sources. so can someone please post what area it is and what the trend is.. thank you very much.
Ive noticed that some applications of 2U principles turn up in 3U papers like sequences and series, which you obviously need to know the relevant formulas for.
Does anyone know of any other major 2U areas which should be revised (and can be easily forgotten ie. formulas) for 3U.
Compound...
There was a few misguided opinions going around my school (by teachers as well as students) that markers would not take into consideration any writing a student made outside the lines (this was mostly from the science dept at my school).
According to the advice line this is bs, the lines are...
with regard to this dot point: "outline the structure of the human larynx and the associated structures that assist teh production of sound"
How much detail should i go into with regard to this dp? is it just a matter of generally stating how it works or should each individual component be...
there is a bit of confusion with the science dept at my school... some think that if you write out of the lines in teh hsc that you are marked down. others think that its just a guide and wont affect the marking at all...
my logic says that it should affect the marking at all seeing as if it...
just finished the catholic trial paper 40 minutes ago.. in my opinion it was easier than i expected.. i thought sections 2 and 3 were quite open ended and there were no tricky text types :D
It is possible to get the exact same school assessment mark as someone else at your school. Thus, recieving the exact same rank. Do they both receive the same modulated assessment mark after the HSC or is there another scaling process to differentiate between them?
i have a few questions about the creative writing section of paper 1.
Is the main purpose of this section to express (subtly) a concept to do with 'The journey' in the given text type?
How is often marked? Just on how well it conforms to the text type and how well it is written? or is...
I need some help to order these different bonds that appear in protein structural levels in order of their relative strength. (i.e. weak --> strong)
Disulfide bonds
Electrostatic forces
hydrogen bonds
hydrophobic forces
whilst we are drawing close to the trials, how close is everyone to finishing their 4U course theory yet?
my class has about 1/3 of mechanics, 1 polynomials chapter and the harder 3U topics to go. :eek: should i be panicking? lol
Okay i just wanted to make sure this is right...
The four corners of a cyclic quadrilateral are said to be concylic points?
so the quadrilateral is called a cyclic quadrilateral. The points are concyclic?
Is that right...?
velocity of a particle is given by:
v = (root2x)e^(-x^2)
Show the particle has acceleration given by:
a = e^(-2x^2) [ 1 - 4x^2]
i can do it by using dv/dt = dv/dx.dx/dt
but i tried doing it by converting velocity to v^2/2 and then differentiating to find accelaration... but when i...
