    How important are preferences on UAC application?

    1. Say if I put a course I am guaranteed early entry for as first preference (even though it is my backup & do I even need to do this if it's guaranteed?), and my actual desired course as my second preference, how does this affect my entry to the actual desired course? Is it worth doing this...
