How do I do so? I'm looking at ANU where the UAI cut-off would be 83-85 for the degree I'm looking at (BComm/BArts). I'm hoping to get in based on my current year results, which I'm expecting to be "exceptional". (btw I'm in NZ, with NZ qualifications)
Any words of advice or warning? Has anyone...
Haha no, I didn't write that! Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough, they're just some good lecture notes on the topic.
However I consider myself a proponent of Determinism, albeit with a Wittgenstein-ian caveat. Perhaps I'd think differently if I weren't so determined to be a rationalist...
Am I the only one accursed with an intense hatred of contemporary commercial authors??
If you're gonna read you might as well read the best, man. Literature needs to be resurrected. My favourite author is Leo Tolstoy, perhaps you've heard of him?
Nah mate, just from what ANU itself said about its BComm degree vs. its BEcon degree:
BComm - "The Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed to cover a broad
range of professional topics relevant to a career in business."
BEcon - "The Economics degree at the ANU is widely regarded as one
of the...
I'd prefer more flexibility in a degree, so I'm leaning towards a BComm major in Finance, but if ANU's BComm degree isn't all that "prestigious" then that leads to a whole new question: if ANU is the right Uni for me to pursue. Although the BFinance with major in "Corporate Finance and...
So a Finance degree (ie. a BComm major) is inferior to an Actuarial one?
I thought that Actuarial studies were involved mainly with insurance, risk mgmt & that. I'm more interested in investment/venture capital/mgmt/entrepreneurship. So it depends how similar an Actuary degree is to a Finance one.
If I want to do Finance for the investment/venture capital aspect, which is best:
BComm Major in Finance, B Finance, or B Actuarial?
I like BComm because it's not as difficult & is more flexible, but if the other 2 degrees will get me a better job then of course that changes. Strictly in...
And of course Free Will is the crux of the argument against the Problem of Evil.
What about this:
Avoidability condition on freedom: I do something freely iff I could have acted otherwise.
"In whatever manner man is considered, he is connected to universal nature, and submitted to the...
Grey's Anatomy is like the No. 1 show in the US right now! After CSI I think. I LOVE this show, they have the cutest couples!! If Cristina & Burke ever break up/die I will kill my TV.
I'm looking at Melbourne & ANU mostly, but what do I know?
I want to do a BComm or BEcon depending on which has better future prospects. Major would probably be Intl Business or Management. Minor in Arts - Political Science and/or Philosophy. So what course/which Uni should I consider?
There...
