You get paid for the time you spend at the current EBA spruiking meetings (ie usually goes for 1/2 hour and you get paid for that time - even if you come in on own time)
If the new EBA goes through, then yes, Annual Leave can be cashed out in excess of 8 weeks (ie any annual leave you have in excess of 8 weeks is convertable).
As the title suggests - anyone else heading for the capital? I am a (very) mature student enrolled in Management/Laws double and will also have my young child with me (sucker for punishment ;)). Leaving lovely Melbourne in January.
