the sea isnt acidic is it?? i thought the acidic nature of deep sea would be from the anaerobic bacteria reducing sulfate and producing H+ in the reduction. SO4 + 5h20 + 8e ==> HS- + 9OH- im glad confusion comes in after the exam..

i think both wouldve been fine.. if u put oxygen (lack of it) then the rate of corrosion would decrease if u put anaerobic bacteria, then the rate of corrosion would increase ??

i absolutely agree..but i guess theyre looking for the ppl who can write succinctly and concisely w/o waffling..and i drew my diagram in the margin..i dont think u can actually work out what it is cos its so crammed.

after u minus the weight of the filter paper from the filter paper and solid you get 0.03..and after u minus the weight of the evap basin from the evap basin and solid u get 0.26..i just though that was fishy... =]

yeh..but by mixing it with water..then filtering and drying the filtrate..the whole experiment is working towards dissolved solids.. its just taht after drying it..shouldnt the mass have decreased..not increased..or where the filtering part and drying part separate??

what was with that filtering and drying the filtrate question.. is it just me or were the numbers kind of funny.. cos after they dried it..the mass increased??

yeh i know..i do evaluate the success of these steps that have been taken to alleviate ozone...i want to have all the steps cos it just seems 'nicer' to assess all the steps that have taken place and not just the main montreal of 87.. i know the majority of it..im just the type of person that...
