hahaaha wow. I was expecting a fail for 1005 and a DN for 1004, i rekon i got >80% raw for 1004.
very disappointing i must say. infact i think its really weird   :headbang...
Yeah it was an enjoyable experience.
Most teams(mine included) used c++ because of the existing STL algorithm/container implementations, so you dont have to write and debug your own.
you should consider this and then this. or the equivalent at a closer tafe if the city is too far to travel.
you should also be aware that some IT degrees at UWS have uai cutoff's in the 50's.
diploma of IT is 1.5-2 years, and you wont have to do any first year IT subjects at uni, but you will have to do all the non-it first year subjects that you need for the degree (like maths etc).
some uni's have special programs where you'll get even more time off, for example UNE gives 1.5...
looks like you can repeat 1001 this coming semester, do 1002 first semester next year, then 2130 2nd semester next year, and you'll have caught up.
I wouldn't rely on getting away with doing 1002 this semester, they might not check pre-req's until the census date, when itl be too late to pick...
Nah, there weren't any multiple choice, it was all short answer.
Tasos did the first 9 weeks or so, then bernhard scholz had a few lectures at the end on algorithms and the like.
Mejc: are you doing the "old" 4crp subjects? what was the old comp2160 called?
COMP2160 Data Structures 70.0 Credit
ISYS2140 Information Systems 61.0 Pass
NETS2150 Fundamentals of Networking 73.0 Credit
I knew i choked in all my exams. this just confirms it, i had really good assessment marks (94% in nets, 80+ in the others)
still waiting for maths...
I was a few minutes late (lucky there was a 1 hour delay :P) and didn't hear the bit about multiple choice in pencil, and it wasnt written anywhere on the sheet, so i did the whole thing in pen :/
will they double check the papers that the scanners cant read?
