Thanks for that advice... I hope I can get 2 years, but if not, Ill just study part time next year.
Who can I contact regarding this? I tried to call the uni on Thursday, but I didnt get an answer... who can I talk to while everyones on holidays?
Yeah its not a real great UAI, but I still got in, which is great :D .
Well if its looking like there is a low chance of getting in if I reapply ofr next year, I might have to take the option of part time study...
Whats the distance education like? Would it be really hard to do at home? (I...
Hey all,
Last night I got the great news that I was accepted into electrical engineering at Newcastle. Now I have a few questions:
Im currently doing a traineeship at the local computer shop, and im going to be here for this year and next year (its a 2 year traineeship). Im wondering, is...
Hmm according to flowergirls answers, I got 10/15. Im really annoyed because I got everything right except for the last 5 questions, and I relise now that theyre all stupid mistakes that wouldnt have happened if I read the question more carefully... Ah well
Eh, that wasnt too hard... I got right up the very last part and wondered why my answer was slightly wrong, and I relised that I forgot to get rid of the r that got timesd by 0. If that even makes sense...
To be honest that seems more like a question 7 or 8 to me...
Any 3 unit probability and binomials is the hardest imo... but circle geometry bites ass too...
Induction isnt too bad, at least i can usually get 2/3 for induction questions (I can prove it for n=K+1 sometimes lol, but its just practise...)
Well im soooo damn happy that Ill never, ever have to do shitty english ever again... Coming out of that exam yesterday was the best feeling ive had in a long time
EDIT: Just thort id add this:
I soaked the damn thing in petrol and burnt it. I wonder how it liked that journey!!
Yeah im cramming quotes aswell and reading over notes.... and after this exam I never have to do engish again!!! (I wont be able to say that same after I finish maths tho, but thats ok lol)
Hey again everyone,
OK soIve applied through UAC to go do engineering (either mehatronics or electrical) and im just wondering about the requirements to get in.
On the Newcastle uni website it says:
Yet in the UAC book it says:
Now what im wondering is, the newcastle uni website...
Phew! lol
Yeah, since mum said she'd pay the fees, she was pretty pissed when she found out there was an extra $97 late fee lol...
Thanks for that. Damn, only 3days to go and it begins! (I do tech drawing so my exams start thursday lol)
Hey all,
I put in my UAC preferences last night (I missed the last deadline cause I somehow got in my head the deadline was the 15th of this month...stupid me)
Have I disadvantaged myself by putting in my UAC entry late?
Im looking at doing engineering at newcastle uni...
Brilliant. I was looking on the newcastle uni website and came across this:
http://www.newcastle.edu.au/futurestudents/regionalandruralpreferencescheme.html
As it turns out I will get 4 points below the UAI cutoff.
Thanks
