I am not thinking of going to Summer School due to failing something. Rather, I'm a transfer student, and there are some additional subjects that I need to do because I didn't get exemptions for them when transferring here.
You are allowed to do so, provided you maintained a Credit average in your previous semester, and you have a good reason for wanting to do so. You can overload 1 additional sub a sem.
Apart from those Big 4 recruitment programs, how do one go about trying to get employed? By looking at the Recruitment pages in the papers?
Speaking of those recruitment ads in the papers, I've been looking through some of them, and I noticed that many of them have closing dates in early...
Dudes, thanks for your opinions of this so far, but I really need to know soon. Are there any B. Com students here that has overloaded before? Can you give me the lowdown on the experience and whether it's survivable or not?
I've gotten my timetable with 5 subs a sem, and the total uni hours...
Hello. I am looking at the option of overloading for 2 sems to try and graduate at the same time with the undergrads of my year, since I need to do additional subjects due to being a transfer student.
I was wondering how taxing is it to overload? Especially in a USYD B. Com degree, majoring...

Hi all. I am a soon to be USYD B. Commerce student this year, formerly from UTS's B. Business. To cut the king story short, due to the pain in the arse that is credit transfers when transferring unis, if I were to proceed to USYD, I would have to do 4 first year subs (6 credit points each), in...

Hi all. This might mean nothing, but then again maybe it might. I was wondering why is it that on pg. 46 of the 06 Econs and Business Faculty Handbook, the subjects Financial Accounting A, Management Accounting A and Business Information Systems had Sem 2 listed before Sem 1 in their "Session"...
Hey guys, I'm really confused about something here. I've been looking at my 2006 Faculty of Econ and Business handbook, and on p.15, it states there are 11 core subjects in B. Com. I'm confused about this subject called Business Strategy (ECOF3001) . It has an asterick beside it stating:
"This...
Re: USYD vs UTS. Who's better Need 2 make quick decison
The stats from BRW 2003 on recruitment by the Big 4:
UNSW - 57
UTS - 44
USYD - 36
Macq Uni - 18
Yeah, sarevok, about that BRW survey. I've seen it before as well, and it's very misleading. Like you've said, both UNSW...
Re: USYD vs UTS. Who's better Need 2 make quick decison
Yeah, what's this about firms specifically not recommending USYD's B. Commerce here? This is beginning to sound very scary man. Do the 'real world' of accounting/financial firms really have something against USYD's Commerce degrees? Do...
What is the minimum UAI points that one has to get above the cut-off of a particular course to ensure that one gets into it? I just want a rough idea. What is the 'safe level'? I want to do Com/Law in Macquarie Uni, and its cut-off is 95.45, can I get in if I got a UAI of 96.45? Anybody got into...
