mmm..depends what u mean by discouraged. Of course i'd be annoyed (it'd bring the uai down ;-) ) but would my pride be hurt? nahhh. I know i can hold a fairly decent conversation ;)
oops, i feel stupid (ignore above post). Just read they do it for all subjects....
Mainly wondering if anybody had any news from people from past years. e.g. some expected a mark of about 80, but then was happily surprised when their final mark was in the 90s.
I know that maths marks definitely get alligned (i.e. even before UAC get's hold of them). Does anyone know if they do that with German marks? Like, if you actually got 90% u'll prolly end up with a mark of 93%?
I didn't think the exam was too bad. But what was with the listening? It was too bloody fast!! I'd done practice listening tasks (and a couple of past tapes, ie actual past hsc ones) and it was never that fast. I'm not talking about the actual talking (that was cool) just the gaps between each...
It certainly wasn't an easy paper. I know I lost at least 5 marks. But i didn't get time to check, so prolly i lost more.
btw, Whatever some people might say, it was definitely better than last year's. (i repeated this year cos i accelerated last year). But last year i know i lost around 15...
