“As for fairness, I think its fairer to have multiple questions too. Cheating should not be tolerated at the HSC and people shouldnt feel bullied in to telling people the questions (which is, lets face it what happens)”
Beksta, I couldn’t agree more!! I sat last year as an external student as...
Here's the link to the 2006 Table :) ...... and can someone say for sure if it's the raw mark that they use 'cos I keep getting told different things

Don't think notes from the marking centre have been posted - not sure why they take so long. :)
.... perhaps some of the teachers just need to think "outside the square" and try to be a bit more creative with their choreography. Congrats to the performers though, 'cos a couple in particular were absolutely fantastic!!!
Lol, yeah :) though this time just trying to make an educated choice. If it's the aligned mark, I've got a rough idea as it was high P90. Not trying to make any predictions re. subjects I haven't done but it would be nice to know where my aggregate will start from if I use this subject.
Thx. Problem is, I'm trying to decide whether I should use those units cos I'm just finalising my subject choices for Yr. 11 and although I got a good mark, the subject didn't scale very well and I'm thinking of doing another 2 units to cover it. Of course that wasn't the plan when I...
I'm trying to decide whether or not to use a subject that I did this year as an accelerated student. I need to know my scaled mark so I can figure out what effect it's going to have on my aggregate if I decide to use it. Table A3 shows HSC and scaled marks for Max., P99, P90, P75, etc. I've...
Just comparing the 2006 distribution tables to 2005 tables:-
Looking at "Aboriginal Studies" (the first on the lists). In 2005 2.9% scored an HSC mark above 90 and 0.4% got over 90 for their scaled mark. In 2006 4.9% scored over 90 and 55.0% got over 90 for their scaled mark. Is that right...
Separate exams on separate days with separate marks. Should be pretty easy to put that together - how can that be too much to ask? but apparently it is. There needs to be WAY more transparency down at the BOS. :burn:
Replacement Certificates are available and it looks like it will cost you $31 or $44, depending upon how quickly you need it. Here is a link to the info :)

Wondering how I can get a breakdown of my mark into its components of performance, composition and appreciation which are all marked separately. They only give us a total amount but I really want to know how I went in each section. It means a lot to me. Has anyone had any success?
The thing is that Newtown actually has an excellent dance stream - and that's from an unbiased observer as I have no connections at all with them! ... they have some great dancers too!! All schools are going to have some years that produce stronger results than others. The biggest problem is the...
