well i personally would pick journalism/intl studies because that was my 2nd pref after arts/law. haha. so maybe you shouldn't listen to me coz i'm biased.
ooh congrats!!
yeah, i am doing arts/law at Uni of Canberra(which isn't in your list but that's ok, because people keep telling me its not a 'real' uni, urgh). i am like a lot over, as its only about 91 and i get 5 UAI points for being in the region, plus 5 EAS points hopefully(lol 104.95?) so...
lol you know GRENFELL?! :jaw: holy mackarel that is outstanding.
yeah grenfell is 50km northwest of young, i think. its a hole. seriously, if you're coming this way, just stop at young. at least it has shops.
10 bonus points is pretty good. i think you've got a fair chance of getting in with...
wow i'm from grenfell hehe(other side of young if you've never heard of it). plus i am doing international studies too(maybe), except with law.
umm being from coota, uc offers 5 uai points for coming from the canberra region or something. i'm sure coota was included in there. i don't think...
ok yeah sure, public vs private whatever, but the fact is if you live outside of the greater syd metropolitan region(inc the gong and newcastle), and big rural centres, you don't have a choice. so whoever said that oh hey, my sister went to some country public school and it was better than my...
yep!
i've already been accepted for residences and i put my first preference as new ressies so hopefully that's what i'm in(they stuffed up my acceptance letter so i'm just waiting for them to resend it).
what about you?
I was actually pretty certain I would get a band 6, seeing as I was ranked first and our school goes pretty well usually and I thought the exam was pretty easy. But I got 86 for exam and assessment... so I guess something happened. It was the only mark I was disappointed with :/
Newcastle is between the two...?
Well, I live between the two, and next year I'm doing B Laws/Arts at UC and transferring to ANU after a year or so, with my main reason being I'm already accepted for accomodation at UC and I'm too lazy to change it... hehehe...
But there were several reasons...
hmm that is a bit odd. some people have been saying its a state wide thing though, and i don't think that's true.
i go to a little country school with only 10 people doing advanced english, and only three people that should really be doing it. we three got 88, 81 and 78. not stellar marks...
soo happy. nothing like as good as some of the marks here, but good for me.
business studies - 86 - 5
advanced english - 88 - 5
ext english 1 - 42(/50) - E3
geography - 91 - 6
modern history - 90 - 6
gen maths - 91 - 6
music - 89(arggh) - 5
SAM predicts a uai of 94.55, while JUAI...
its gotten much better.
i've spent all year thinking i had no hope of cracking 90, but sam places me at 94.55 and juai at 94.65. obviously i don't expect to get that high, but hopefully i will get over 90. even if i don't, at least i'll know i was close.
