Hey guys,
I'm going to AIM next year and was just wondering if any of you guys are going or got in for the 2006 start. I'd like to meet some of you guys in a place where music is the common language.
Cheers and beers,
Scott.
I didn't get into Encore and I didn't expect to! But a big congratulation to all of those who did get in!
I'll be there watching you all (and moshing if there is any rock played, perhaps if Fusionist plays Satriani lol)...
Well done.
So, I had my all night practice. I should be asleep considering I only slept for 4 hours last night, and started again at 9am practising my songs. Anyways, they're all going off!
I'm a bit more confident now, hehe!
This Monday coming! Monday 5th, September...
Jeez... I'm pretty excited, I'm not nervous, but I am a little inconfident. But overall I'm looking forward to it. We (whole music class) have an all night practice on this coming Friday night so I am really looking forward to that! The whole class...
Haha, well I like to go to gigs, if possible. There's one in the middle of the HSC I will most likely go to. LOL.
If I did composition at my school I would definately come first. If I didn't I wouldn't mind because the other dude who would be likely to come first is in a band with me :rofl...
Speaking of sticks breaking. Go and see Virgil Donati play live. HOLY CRAP. His sticks are like, tree trunks. And he snaps them like they are twigs. Bobby Rock plays sticks an inch in diameter. No joke. I think I heard my drummer saying they were a 4H or something to do with an H or a 4...
I went pretty shocking compared to how I usually go. My teacher (who is an ex-marker) was suprised. As was I. I just wasn't ready. I changed my lowest scoring piece, though to something for easier marks.
These are rough marks (so my teacher says):
Elective 1 - 15.5/20
Electice 2 -...
I didn't go too well in my trial exam. I came first in the grade, but I almost always do. So I never am suprised (the guy who always comes second just doesn't put in enough effort as he loves his maths. If he worked for it like me he would definitely come first always lol)...
I only got like...
Apparently it's really good for singers to use a thermos or something to open the airways. James LaBrie (classically trained vocalist from Dream Theater) uses one. He takes a few on stage with him. It has BOILING hot water inside and he sips from it and lets the hot water go down his throat. I...
Well I'm just trying to let everyone know that there IS rock out there where the musicians are unbelievably well trained and talented! Thanks if you do download them. They are all under 1mb each. I made them for you, so it's my personal selection from my CD collection. Hahaha...
