Just giving an example: Say for example if I'm ranked second in my school for chem, then I do the externals and I get a good state rank i.e top 20...lets just say 20 and the first guy gets a lower rank (lower mark), thus 'taking' my marks into his internals, wouldn't this overall lower my marks...

Im completely lost in this subject, what are we meant to compare in this module context? vaules? Thanks In Advance~

W8 are you saying if i get 87% and i come sixth, while in the exam i get 98% and i come twentieth, I would still retain my external ranking, but i would get a lower atar.

If lets say for example you come 6th out of your class but then you do the HSc and you come 20th in the state will you still retain your 20th position?
