EDSE2001 made extensive use of WebCT as I'm sure you're well aware, grk_styl. You know, with part of the assessment being contributions to web discussion groups as well as providing a forum for the students enrolled in the course.
I did the bridging course back in '04, and doing fundamentals of chem like I did is a waste of time after doing it. Regular Chem I and Fundamentals courses are almost the same, save for the first six weeks of first semester, and those six weeks is just a rehash of the bridging course.

Bringing a blank cheque isn't all that risky. Just make sure before you leave home that the cheque is already made out to the University of Sydney and the not-negotiable strokes made across it.
Lesley for 1018? I loved her. I thought it was a pretty important part of the degree though, knowing a bit of the sociology and paradigms of the profession and all that. Year II education subjects are more of the same, especially in second sem.
