hmm when i said open day i meant info day; i also talked to a couple of admissions staff. Maybe what you say is riight. all i know is that theyre DEF doing fucking weird transfer shit - not like old nrsl this year - so lets hope we get in. 16 hours people
are u basing this on the "and/or" or did somebody tell you. Because a) thats been on the website for about 3 years and b) your wrong. They consider both. I asked the head of admissions at usyd on open day.
IF you want some REAL new info, theres 50 more spots for transferees+CSP due to no dfee...
if you get a HD average you'll get in . I doubt you'd have a chance with less than that but call student services they can tell u more likely what marks you need. But HD average you'll get in like 100%.
If you really wana do Law go to another uni, or if you wana risk it do Arts at UNSW and...
Your wrong. I talked to Gillian Triggs, dean of law. The cut-offs may stay the same but theres no way their going up. There are 50 more places being made for entry to be split between transferees and school leavers. Keep it on the low i think she liked me dont wana ruin gossip
update on this: i talked to dude whose in charge of admissions at syd u info day; the SCU conversion tables are out of date... he kind of showed me the new one vaguely...
I got a heap of info actually including some stuff about last years law transfers and expected transfer cut-offs this year if...
Hold on. UNSW says if you get a 75 WAM and GO TO unsw then you can get in - ie INTERNAL transfer
Furthermore, 75 WAM does not= distinction average if you go thru UAC, ie do an external transfer, which is what you would need to do if you go to Sydney, or UTS or any other uni . "Distinction...
You retards this thread is about 5 years old
and BTW there is such thing as internal transfer, where you don't go thru UAC. Sydney have an internal transfer option within faculty across their arts degrees, and UNSW just introduced one for next year with law apparently.
So suck it
because thats a load of shit. They're not being "transferred" to internationial free-paying places.
Whats happening is, No more DFEE = more:
a) International places
b) CSP places
c) Transfer-ee places
Do basically, yes more places will be opened. Whether or not that affects cut-offs...
highly doubt it bro. nice try. In fact im 99.999999 percent sure not. You'll be treated as if you deferred for a year, and placed against HSC cut-offs.
