In a displacement reaction ie Mg in CuSO4 the copper matal is deposited on the magnesium. Would their ever be a point where the Cu biuld up completly encases the Mg preventing the displacement reation from occuring after that point.
Not sure about the equation but it does happen, the Fe(OH)Cl decomposes into HCl and other products, which can greatly accalerate corrosion. This however only happens as the article dries out so artefacts are generlly kept wet untail restoration can occur. The Fe(OH)Cl is removed by soaking in...
Metals, mainly iron artefacts are place/soaked in NaOH solution (approx 5%) as the OH- ion reacts with the insoluble Fe(OH)Cl to form Fe(OH)2 and CL- the Cl- ion is then removed when the solution is refreshed. If left in the artefact nad allowed to dry out, the Fe(OH)Cl decomposes to form HCl...

If the pressure increase in the same volume then there are more moles of the reactants and the products. If there is an inequal ammount of moles in either side then the reaction will move in favour of the side with less moles. The same applies to redcuing pressure.
