Whoever gets to do a mock trial is damn lucky. My class never got to do one :mad: It definately beats having to sit and listen to real cases in a local court. But at least the District Court was good.

You don't have to go far back as to the reporting of the crime, investigation, arrest and charge. I think basically: Plea --> Hearing --> Factors affecting decision (objective, aggravating etc) --> Suitable punishment I may have got plea/hearing mixed up :S

The most useful resource I used last year for HSC Legal Studies was the Maquarie Revision book *hint hint* Lawlink is an excellent website to find cases for your assignments and other info regarding legal aid and the court systems.

Legal Studies is always an interesting class to go to. Most of what you'll learn you'll know already because it deals with almost everyday issues you'll hear on the news. The only downside to the subject, I'd say, is having to remember all the case studies and legislations relevant to...
