Well I'm a Christian but I thought "The Da Vinci Code" was a really interesting read! I straight away went and bought "Angels and Demons" and I liked that too. Today I bought "Digital Fortress" and "Deception Point" and I can't wait to read them. In fact, why am I posting...I could be...
I'm doing philosophy! My advice to you would be to do philosophy in second semester instead of first. I think Reality, Ethics and Beauty deals with more interesting aspects of philosophy than Society, Knowledge and Reason...although I suppose I shouldn't really judge since this is only my first...
Gone With The Wind's my favourite tearjerker...my best friend laughs at the end when Rhett goes away and I scold her for being heartless..
I also cried during To Kill A Mockingbird, when I realised Tom was dead and that despite the overwhelming evidence proving his innocence, justice was not...
Well I've only gotten a couple of assessments back actually, I got 87 for a tute paper and I got 74 as an average for the philosophy essays. I was quite relieved with the 74 though, considering that I wrote both essays in a maximum of about three hours...including reading up on Rousseau, Locke...
I read the book waaaay before I saw the movie and it's still one of my favourite books today! I've read "Scarlett" as well but I don't really like it, I much prefer the original Mitchell :) I tend to like books better than movies because the movies do change things, even if its really subtle...

Hmmm I wish I'd gotten here earlier :) But nevertheless, these are my most recent acquisitions:
1) Tolstoy-Anna Karenina
2) Austen-Emma (yes I did that book in the HSC but I'd read it prior to studying it and finally decided to get a copy...)
3) Ovid-Metamorphoses
4) The Odyssey...though I...
Hehehe, sounds like JKDDragon is a bit jealous of us arts students...maybe he should try and write my philosophy essays and then we'll see if he still considers us fortunate!
I'm just reading all these posts with "28" and "26"...I only do 12 with a B/Arts! (And I get two days off...hehe, ok I won't rub it in..)
I agree with Shelley though...arts requires a lot of reading...especially with ancient and philosophy!
