hey i do BCM/ Arts
In BCM you can do an advertising and marketing major, which although doesnt focus on the production of advertising, gives the theory behind it. If you combine it with the design subjects listed above, it will give a really good background and understanding of advertising...
hey i did my HSC last year ('04) and i decided i would see how accurate SAM is seeing as they used all the scaling and aligning data and peoples previous results.
but i entered in my 2004 hsc results which gave me a uai of 97.15, but in sam i only got 96.4.
i thought sam was just an estimating...
well i live in menai, so thats not too far from bankstown really and it takes me about 40 minutes. Train would be worse because you'd have to swap trainlines i think.. at least to get to bankstown or padstow anyway. its about an hour train trip from uni to sutherland though, at least you can get...
Sorry forgot to answer half your questions, the workload isnt huge, im only at uni 2 days a week this semester, but they're 7 or 8 hour days, so its probably best to spread them out.. i just dont like driving. The workload is pretty cruisy, you might get one week with massive amounts due but...
Hey i do B Comm and Media Studies/ Arts (psych) and it is really really interesting. The psychology part is a bit of a bummer, but comm and media studies i love. All the core subjects are pretty thought-provoking and require discussion and understanding rather than just regurgitating a text book...
hey i did legal studies last year and i got 94... my uai ended up being 97.15 so i dont think it does too abdly for itself.
My results were:
eng adv 91

so my other results really werent that great and my uai wouldnt have been...
Im doing B Communications and Media studies/arts.. my first pref... Dynamic not only are we doing the same course... we also have the same birthday.. is that weird or what?! and weirder still.. i also went to a ghetto school.. well i could be exaggerating but still... *x files music*
I always thought that for late round offers, the uai cut-offs would actually decrease... but i was looking at last years on the uac site.. and in some cases they sky rocketed. For example at Wollongong, the main round cut-off was 91.00 for arts/law. For the late round, it was 96.45 for the same...
i worked all through year 12... including during the hsc.. i did one shift a week when i could squeeze one in. i even worked the night before my modern history exam.. my prime cramming time. Mind you it was my lowest mark.. but we'll ignore that. Anyway the point im trying to make is that you're...
sheesh this site is officially dominated by med/law and comm peeps.. its insane.. im doing Bachelor of Communication and media studies (adv & mark)/Arts (psych) at good ol UOW
at our school in years 10 and 11 if you come first you get $300, 2nd is $200 and 3rd is $100... im hoping in year 12 they get even more generous and boost that $300! We have to attend the year 7 orientation dinner to recieve our cheque's but... thats hell in itself
I am possibly the worst person in the world. Somehow I've managed to lose my art diary. To make it a bit worse i have a progress mark coming up where my diary gets marked. I can probably weasel my way out of the progress mark thing.. but if they need to check anything for the HSC i'll be doomed...
