I haaaaad chemistry, physics and biology pracs last year
Chemistry was kinda like the pracs in high school. I did CBMS101 and 103...each had a four hour block for a practical and you went ever fortnight. At the start of the year you buy course notes for the subject, which contain all the...
Re: 2009 Macquarie Uni Offers
Hey sorry
Yeah I deffered my spot. I got into chiro in 2007 and deferred that year. Then reapplied through UAC using all the UAC details you get during high school and put chiro down as my only option. My idea of it is that you have a guaranteed spot in the...
Re: 2009 Macquarie Uni Offers

Hey
Can I get back to you in a couple of days re: the textbooks? I'm just waiting to find out whether or not a friend wanted them. But I'm happy to let you know before your orientation day so you can buy textbooks then if need be. I may actually be at uni on the day of your orientation...
I dont know about the other uni's but at macquarie lectures start at 5 past the hour and finish at 5 to. So you have 10 minutes to get wherever you need to go. And as long as you don't actually disrupt the lecture, they really dont care. Just come in and sit in the nearest available seat.
It does really depend on the subjects and course though.
I bought a couple of texts I was supposed to have last year and ended up not needing them at all.
Some subjects you can easily get through without any text books.
I did HLTH107, BIOL108 and BIOL115...aaand I'm pretty sure I did HLTH132 but as a CHIR subject instead of a HLTH one...if it's Histology that is.
HLTH107 and BIOL108 are pretty fun...Histology is boring as hell though. Or that's my opinion anyway.
