so why does it change from high 80's to mid seventies because of my schools rank?

a little higher than that... Can my school rank really affect it that much. That's a pretty huge disadvantage, it's not like I had a choice. We dont have all the fancy private schools some of you guys have in sydney

these are trial marks and and assesment ranks. I dont know if it makes any difference but my assesment marks are generally a fair bit better than the trial marks (particularly in maths), but these marks are what i'm expecting in the HSC Chem 75% 3/13 english advanced 87% 3/27...

wait, I've never really thought about this before. I though it was just the UAI that gets scaled. I thought band 6 was 90-100, band 5 80-90 etc if not, what was last years cut off for band 5
