Im doing Psych (Hons) at Macquarie Uni and i needed 93. something to get in there. Apparently its pretty good for psych in NSW, its just the best uni for me to go to.
I don't think that you will need to do anything really in particular, just work really hard in your HSC to prepare you for...
Yeh, you pay the fee for however long you want it, and for the train line that you use e.g Nothern Line. Then you can travel back and forth as many times as you need to.
I have to get a flexi pass because i travel on 2 trains to uni, on two different lines so travelpass doesnt.'t work for me.
Try Erina, Lisarow or Forrester's Beach. All really close to Terrigal and have lots of hotels that will be more accommodating for schoolies. Terrigal is basically just a beach, one bar and one decent nightclub so its not a big deal not staying right in Terrigal, travelling 5 minutes to get...
This is seriously the most stupid question ever. Why take a drug to enhance your studying ability? Why not just study hard, take vitamins and work hard like the majority of people. You will get a much higher self satisfaction level if you do it all on your own rather than using pharmaceutical...
I figure it will be worth going. Its only one day after all and they put you in groups with people that are doing the same course as you so it will be a good opportunity to meet people.
But i guess its all up to you...
I sleep 10:30 till 6:30 most nights. I'll have to start waking up ealier to get to uni by 8 on the train, but i think ill just go to bed earlier to make up for it. I really like my sleep.
During the HSC i slept 9:00 till 5:00am, i worked heaps better being able to study in the mornings.
Just work hard. Its not all about the subjects you choose. Even someone with mainly "low scaling" subjects can do really really well in the HSC. Its all about the work and effort you put in! STUDY
I did 13 units for year 11 and was pretty fine with it, i think 14 is too much for yr 12, but maybe just wait and see what your results from this year are before dropping a subject - you may be really really good at modern, or find that it is the subject that you enjoy the most.
See how you go.
You pretty much just create a question that is not related to anything at all in any subjects syllabus.... Then you answer it analysing sources etc, making sure you have your own opinions and everyone elses considered (historiography).
I Haven't received the enrolment package and i accepted ages ago because i got an early offer (I don't know if that changes anything) - But i did also get a phone call from some girl who had already done my course wanting to know if i had any questions about Macq etc..
Sorry, but i thought this site was about getting advice from people who are "more experienced" and at uni at the moment.
Im sorry if i seem more concerned about people going to other Unis, but i don't even know one person at, or going to Macquarie so the advice of actual students is a big...
Re: ppl who got >90 in subjects how did u study?!?!
Summaries!!! They are what i attribute the majority of my marks to! I got 97 in ancient history which mainly came from some pretty fantastic summaries. Listed in the dot points of the syllabus, makes studying a whole lot easier. Also i...
Is it of crazy importance that you move out straight away. I know i was really excited about moving out ASAP after the HSC, but the expenses really do come out of nowhere. I've lived with my boyfriend for the past 15 months and we spend $100-$120 on groceries. We put $20 each a week into an...
