Hi,
I moved from Coffs Harbour to Melbourne to go to uni at RMIT (04-07). I was with my ex back then and we moved out together so it's was a hell of a lot easier than moving out on my own (like I am now).
I've heard good things about the RMIT Village if you're prepared to live in student...
Everyone has had trouble with Centrelink at one time or another.
I moved out of home just after I turned 18. I was living in Melbourne and my parents were living in Coffs Harbour.
While trying to prove to Centrelink that I was independent, they asked me a whole heap of stupid questions...

Tuesday work 9-5
Wednesday work 9-5 then Uni 5:30 - 8:30
Thursday Uni 12:30 - 8:30
Friday work 9-5

Do something you are passionate about...
Centrelink really is hopeless regarding your uni residence being a "temporary" residence.
When i was on centrelink, they sent me a form to fill out to determine something or other... i was living in melbourne doing my uni and my parents lived in coffs harbour. one of the many stupid questions...
