ooh ooh.. *raises hand*... me me... sorta
:P
I'm doing B. Science in Biomedical Science in Forensic Biology.
Essentially we will be doing the same subjects :)
sorry for the above post guys... haven't been back to the site for a while and when i did come back, something happened with my registration..
please ignore this :)
science is one $$$ field... each semester I spend about $300 ... over the 3 years, I've accumulated about a grand worth of books... and that's tight arsing it a bit too - I buy second hand books from previous year students or raid the Uni's second hand book stores (USyd is pretty good btw). ;)
I'm a uni student finishing up my degree and have just applied for another undergrad. degree.... I read about this site in the newspaper and thought it was a great idea...
And proud that some of you guys who designed and run this site are from ooh-tee-essah :D
What do you mean? Are you from another faculty (other than science)?
Learning is learning.. you can learn anything you want if you put your mind to it.. :o
I remember the Chemistry BC to start at 9:30am to about 4:30pm with a lunch break at 1am (I think).
They teach you in a lecture room in classroom style so if you have any questions - raise your hand. With the BC fee, you get booklets to work from e.g. A theory book and a Work book/tutorial...
You might as well have prepared yourself right from Kindergarten...
Not everyone knows what they want to do by the time they reach Year 11, 12 or even uni.
I can't speak for UNSW or USyd but UTS does have a Chemistry learning centre for students who seek help. It's basically just a room with desks and a tutor who answers any questions you may have. :)
I found this helpful at times but they do encourage you to learn and figure out some answers...
