its not a matter of the HSC specifically being a painful experience, rather any sort of separating process that filters the "smart" from the "dumb" is painful.
but realistically, the separating process is the only way to keep the intelligence level of this country at least on a comparative...

im russian so im tossing up between doing either the fall of the communist USSR, or the fall of the Romanov dynasty, and focus on Rasputin as a controversial personality. i would prefer to do the former, because i think that there is too much myth surrounding Rasputin, but im doubting the USSR...
