?!?! Gif's arnt compressed.. they handle 256 colours only which reduces their filesize PNG's are 32bit and can support transparency, which is useless for the dog image.. so jpeg is better..

Question 6 is just a dodgy question.. A) Not true.. the port could even be a USB 2.0 port, which means longer cables are more acceptable B) This is what I put out of an elimination process.. It makes no sense though, how could a serial mouse function without power? C) Hotswapping? maybe...

Got that in my trial... The biggest problem would be drivers. Finding drivers that work with the (unknown) devices in the computer. Hmm another problem could be licences.. do you have licences to install windows on it? All I can think of at the moment
