So it seems BoS were a little less sadistic this time. Listening and reading were fair, writing was always going to be disastrous. Overall, not bad.

That's happening across the board in LOTE exams, higher order thinking skills and whatnot. I like it, you don't have to understand every word to 'interpret'. :)

It was much harder. According to my teacher, it's unlikely this year's exam will be as difficult, because students just didn't do very well and the Board received so many official complaints from teachers about it. Study? Um. Not enough, put it that way.

That comprehension is the hardest I've ever seen, for sure. Sortof caught me by surprise- I got full marks for Section 1 in my trial, so I hadn't worried about it at all. My prepared story didn't fit at all with the stimulus, so not expecting too much there. In hindsight, I would've been better...
