Themi built up the naval force of athens, then later 'devised' (it may have been freak luck or possible betrayal as well) a strategy to defeat the persians at the bay of salamis. dont know much bout solon.

being stuck in a course im failing. not having a teacher for that said course. having a major work due in 2months for said course that i havent started. teachers turning up 20mins late, then having a chat to the girls in the front for 20mins. the period only goes for 40mins >.<

i doubt theyll have a straight out 'why did athens win' question, as in the past 4 years, theyve done that twice (just different wording: athens victory, persian defeat) So im hoping for a question on strategy, specifically Themistocles, cos i know him off the top of my head. ^^

yeah, movie 4. The movies arent as good as the books, not by a long shot. The movie totally ruined my image of hagrid and sirius :( and thankies for the happy birthdays ^^

As far as i know its still offered as one elective. I just looked it up on the board of studies site, and it says in the syllabus its both in one, so i guess so :)

Yeah i noticed that. So what electives did you do for your HSC? Mine are Pericles, Athens in the time of Pericles, Greece 500-440 and Augustus + Julio Claudians
